FROM ON SCREEN TO OFF SCREEN PART 01

For a very long time, I wanted to write an article about the people for whom a scripted romance bloomed into a real one. And I am not talking about the co-stars who just dated each other, no, I am talking about the celebrity couple who fell in love with each other while working together and then later took the big step of tying the nuptial knot. So here is the list of my Favorite on & off screen couples....

P.S. The following compilation only includes Asian stars.

1)  Liu Shi Shi aka Cecilia Liu & Nicky Wu

This beautiful pair met on the set of their super-hit drama series Scarlet Heart/ Bu Bu Jing Xin in the year 2011. Despite of the huge age gap,16 years, their sizzling on screen chemistry bedazzled the viewers completely making them both the most sought after couple by the media. The actress publicly acknowledged her relationship with her then boyfriend Nicky Wu in 2013 and this year,2015 the couple got married in a very private ceremony. It's a second marriage for Nicky Wu, who was earlier married to the fellow Chinese actress Ma Yashu.

2) Ji Sung & Lee Bo Young

These excellent actors worked together in the 2004 TV series Save the last dance for me. The buzz is that the actor (Ji Sung), who prior had a relationship with another of his costar Park Sol mi, was so smitten with Lee Bo Young that he relentlessly pursued the actress for three months before she finally gave in. Their relationship became public in 2007. After getting married in 2013 the couple was blessed with a baby daughter on 12th June 2015.

3) Li Xiao Lu & Jia Nai Lang

The golden horse award-winning actress (Li Xiao Lu) worked together with her husband (Jia Nai Lang) in the 2011 series, Dang Po Po Yu Shang Ma aka when mother in law meets the mother. The series landed them both the award for best actor & actress in 2012. The couple got married on July, 6th 2012 and on 23rd Oct 2012 Li Xiao Lu gave birth to their only daughter. These days both Jia Nai Lang and their daughter can be seen together in the Chinese variety show 'Dad is back!'

4) Han Ga-in & Yeon Jung-hoon

The actor (Yeon Jung-hoon) was bowled over by the beautiful and shy actress (Han Ga-in) when they started working together in the 2003 drama series Yellow handkerchief. He courted the lady for a couple of months before they officially started dating. The duo got married in 2005. Sadly after suffering a miscarriage for their first pregnancy the couple is still childless.

5) Kareena Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan

The real life nawab (urdu word used for a person from nobility), previously divorced actor (Saif Ali Khan) wooed this Bollywood diva (Kareena Kapoor) when they started working together for the movie, Tashan, in the year 2007. At that time Kareena Kapoor, who is 10 years younger than her beau, had just split up with her then boyfriend Shahid Kapoor. The couple opened up about their relationship in 2009. Apparently to show his love for the lady, Saif had got her name tattooed on his arm which was noticed and later turned into a hot topic by their fans. The media named the couple 'Saifeena'  (Brangelina of the Bollywood)  After five years of dating the couple finally got married in 2012.

A/N: For now Ciao...will see you guys soon with Flash marriage 18.2

Oh My Gost

Hi everyone. the next drama I am going to talk about is Oh MY Ghost or Oh My Ghostess. Its a nice, sweet and warm story of a ghost. Now you may say Warm story of a ghost isn't that an oxymoron....yes it is but those are the best and the right words that can describe the essence of the story.

So basically a young twenty year old virgin soul, shin Soon-Ae who is awaiting her salvation, is spending her time in nether-land (neither earth nor heaven) for the last two years with absolutely no memory of her past life. she does not even know the grudge that's holding her back in the nether-land and not letting her move on. About her life she has just one regret, her virginity. she feels bad and sorry about it and strongly believes that the moment she looses it she would be able to escape her current predicament. (Weird, I know) Hence she is desperately trying to find a man with whom she can copulate so that she can finally ascend to heaven. for that She had already tried to seduce a number of young men by entering young and gorgeous female bodies but as soon as she (her soul in the possessed female bodies) comes into intimate contact with those men, they go into shock due to hypothermia. None of them is able to tolerate the coldness  of her soul that emanates from the possessed female bodies. But she still has not given up and keep trying to get into the bed of any random yet handsome man.

A female shaman catches her soul and keeps her Prisoned  in her home for a long time and finally after having pity on shin Soon-Ae she asks her to find a man with strong virility who will able to withstand the coldness and do the deed with her. Shaman also informs her how every soul can find a body that has a best matching frequency to it but once it enters the body the things can become a little tricky since soul may find it hard to leave the body on his/her own will and may get stuck in that body forever. Lastly shaman tells her that she has only one year more since a soul can wander in nether-land only for three years, post that the soul will transform into an evil spirit and will cause harm and trouble to people. so she must avoid reaching that stage and should resolve whatever grudge she has by then. Scared by her words, Shin Soon-Ae shoots off from shaman's home on the first opportunity and coincidentally enters the body that has a matching frequency with her's aka Na Bong-Sun.

Na Bong Sun has had a little pathetic life herself. not only she has a mousy personality but thanks to the gene passed on to her from her grandmother she can also see ghosts and spirits, which always scares her to the extent that she can not even sleep comfortably at night. these two traits prohibit her from expressing herself truly and make any friends. she works as an assistant chef at the restaurant owned by her crush, Kang Sun Woo who runs it together with his handicapped sister and three other supporting chefs. due to her personality she is not able to become closer with any of her colleagues thus has always being loner. Stuck in Bong Sun's body Soon-Ae encounters Kang Sun woo and the rest of his restaurant staff. From here on our story truly begins....(Don't expect me to narrate the whole story. Go and watch the series I am sure you will either love it or really love it.)

Due to the lascivious nature of Soon-Ae, tsundre-persona of Sun woo and a little bumble bee like personality of Bong Sun the drama is full of hilarious scenes. At the same time there are some really poignant moments especially between Soon-Ae and her family. The series has a refreshing villain in the form of possessed Choi Sung-Jae. The supporting cast is not just a filler to provide some comic relief but their interaction with the main cast and with each other is something that I actually looked forward to while watching the drama. Though I must agree characters like the chefs in the restaurant were greatly inspired by another K-drama, Coffee prince's characters. Not that I have any complaint about it since I really adored that drama but what I did not like was the last episode. the story could have winded up nicely in 15 episodes but to fill in the gap for one extra episode they imitated the last episode of the coffee prince almost point to point.....but the makers redeemed themselves in my eyes by bringing Seo In guk for a guest role in the last episode...so yay for that.

All in all with a resilient story frame work and really powerful actors as well as characters the drama is just my cup of coffee...Strong, aromatic and sweet..:)

Hello Monster

hey guys...these days I am extremely sleep deprived and lagging considerably behind the schedule thus no time for proofreading so u guys may find a lot of grammatical mistakes in my recent posts. All this is because I foolishly marathoned my way through not only one or two but three drama series in one week.....phew. I can't say that i like all three but yeah i like some parts in all of them. So lets review them one by one.

First one is HELLO MONSTER aka I remember you. Although Wikipedia calls this one a suspense- romance drama but the genre of this drama is thriller rather than suspense. So you can put your sleuthing skills to rest as there is nothing to guess around. you can tell pretty much from the 3rd or 4th episode onward that who is who and who did what? confusing...its not.

Its the story about a brilliant yet cold professor, played by Seo In-Guk and a hardworking, passionate detective, acted by Jang Na-Ra, both of them after losing their only parent to the same person try to cope up with their pain in their own way. In order to seek closure for their family and themselves they continue to pursue that murderer who is hiding in open and is lurking not in the shadows but right beside them. its them who have to stop looking high and low and look in front to know who is waiting for them at the next corner.

The drama could have been better had the makers continued the flow of the story as it was in the beginning till the end. In order to cater the viewers with a crappy happy ending they ruined an otherwise perfect series. what completely baffles me is SPOILER AHEAD  how can you let the psychopath who killed atleast half of a century people away, just like that. and whatever happened to the main leads who were obsessed with catching him for 15 episodes and then finally when he was within their reach they let him escape. regardless of their predicament i still find it a little hard to swallow and as if that's not enough once he flee they don't even bother with him anymore and keep leading their own life where as that poor psychopath is still waiting for those two to catch him...i don't know for whom should i feel more sorry for the still waiting psychopath or for the poor viewers who are still shocked with the abruptness of the drama....sigh.

All in all its worth a watch series so i am a little disappointed with the ratings it got. In my opinion this one is quite under-appreciated. anyways here's why you should and shouldn't watch this one:

Should:

1)A strong story that deals with psychopaths and how their inner mind works, how people of exactly similar mindsets can lead completely opposite lives due to the sheer difference between their will and circumstances.
2)Powerful performance by all the actors noticeably Seo In-Guk, Jang Na-Ra and Park Bo-Gum.
3)A subtle romance between the main leads. Their slow building relationship goes through many phrases, first a stalker and stalkee then colleagues, confidantes, friends and lastly lovers.
4)Finally watch this one for eye candies, a beautiful female lead and a really handsome male lead. now go on and call me shallow but I am most certainly not. Biased I am  but shallow no....NO (well you see I have a thing for Seo in guk ever since his debut in Love rain)

Shouldn't:

1)A story line that took off like a rocket and towards the end skewed from its path and then ultimately crashed back. the ending does not fit in with the series, though it was not rushed but yet it was not complete.
2)Lack of passion between the OTPs. not that you can blame them for this since their relationship undergoes so many changes so along the way it looses the heat and passion. so if you are looking for a hardcore romantic series then this one is not for you since the romance is not the first priority in this drama.
3)Repetitive scenes. each episode has at least two or more scenes which are repeated later through flashback. if its in order to avoid puzzling the viewers then its completely not needed. we have already watched far more complex series without any supplementary help. Watching the re-telecast of so many scenes becomes completely annoying.

I give this series a thumbs up and would recommend this to people who dare to experiment with their drama-dose.

Hot young Bloods-5

This is the fifth and last installment of this movie's recaps. There are plenty of reasons to watch this movie and a few reasons to not watch. In my opinion if you want to watch a light and easy on mind movie, that you can watch and forget, than go for this one. Though I admit that the climax was not as good as the rest of the movie and feels rushed but still it's an enjoyable watch, Try it and share your views.....

Recap -5

Next day when Joong Gil again goes to challenge Gwang Sik, he refuses to fight, tells Joong Gil that he is letting both Joong and So-hee off his radar. Since Joong Gil does not understand the drastic change in Gwang Sik's attitude, he is perplexed and decides to clear the air about past matters as well and thus says that Gwang's sister did not run away because of him...........

After being beaten again and this time due to his own stupidity, Joong gil goes back home where his father inquires about the wounds on his face. His father scolds him for being so irresponsible towards his own life, first a player and now gangster (hahaha gangster....if only he knew the truth that his son is nothing but a punching bag for a gangster)

His father asks him if he feels sorry to his mother whose picture he still has in his room. Joong Gil bursts and tells his dad that he has no right to talk about his mother since it's because of his infidelity that Joong gil and His brother don't have their mother with them. His dad slaps him, he goes ballistic and starts throwing and breaking things in his room. Hearing this his brother runs to his room and slaps him hard. (poor guy...getting slapped by almost everyone)

His brother then tells him that their mother left them willingly and it was never because of his dad, In fact their mother was having an affair and she left with that guy.Their father took the blame to protect Joong Gil's heart from the cruel truth behind their mother's abandonment. Joong gil refuses to believe it. His brother urges him to go and search their father's closet. He promptly does that and finds it filled with her mother's things, kept as the way they were when she used to live there. The commotion brings His grandmother to the scene. She sees his mother's clothes in the closet. She starts complaining to his father, who had allegedly brought the clothes back even though she clearly threw them away.  She again tries to throw them away but his dad pleads her to stop since he is still waiting for his wife to come back home and wants to keep the room the same way as it was. They both (Joong Gil's dad and grandmother) start crying. seeing the pitiful condition of his family Joong Gil leaves and spends the night at the station numbly.

Next morning while riding the train he overhears monkey 1 & 2 talking about how Young Sook was beaten badly by her own gang last night. when one of them asks why did she not fight back other one snickers may be she wanted to protect Joong gil. Ignoring their jabber, Joong gil gets up to go to washroom where he meets Gwang sik. Joong Gil flinches and closes his eyes off after being lightly slapped by Gwang sik. Seeing this Gwang sik asks him to open his eyes as she did not even blink once while getting hit. Gwang sik laments why did she throw herself off for a fool.

At this point Joong Gil adds two and two, realizes how Young Sook had sacrificed herself in order to save him and So-hee from Gwang Sik's gang. In flashback. Young sook is seen being beaten black and blue by her gang, Post this epiphany- moment Joong Gil goes mad and in a fit of rage attacks Gwang Sik. Even though Gwang Sik easily overpowers him, he manages to throw a couple of good punches and keeps on trying relentlessly to throw some more. All Gwang Sik's minions and Joong Gil's friends also jump into their fight. In the middle of this chaos somehow Gwang sik and Joong gil fall down from the train (which was, at that moment, running on the bridge) in to a river. Though both of them reach the shore safely, after swimming through the river but only Joong gil is conscious.

He staggers his way to Young Sook's home, with the white shoes around his neck. (they are the same shoes, originally gifted by Young Sook to him but snatched away by Gwang sik and now since Gwang sik is unconscious Joong gil takes them back.) After reaching her home he bewilderingly calls her name but is informed that she has already left for Seoul. He sits back on a bench in the school play ground with the books and letter she left behind, watches the same 'running girl' sprinting lapse after lapse. In the letter Young Sook has written, she tells him that she is going in search of something because through out her life her goal was him and now she needs a new aim. she asks him to get serious about his life, instead of aiming to be a sailor look for a new meaningful goal. She implores him to read well and do well because she sincerely believes in his ability.

Some time later, So -hee approaches Joong gil using the same method he had used earlier (writing a cheesy line) asking him to meet her in the same Chinese restaurant. Monkey 1 & 2 keep guessing about whether Joong gil will go or not. It turns out that he really does go but not to meet her, in fact he goes there to return the Swiss knife and order noodles (as his apology) for So-hee and leaves before she arrives. Angrily she too leaves.

Back at Joong Gil's home his sailor uncle comes to visit. His uncle introduces his fiance to Joong Gil and rest of the family. His fiance is really taller bigger and larger than the uncle. Everyone is shocked whereas Joong gil is disappointed he truly thinks that his uncle has lost his mind.

His uncle explains that the true beauty of a girl lies in her heart, which in this case truly and deeply loves him. Uncle tells him that he can trust his fiance with his life. he asks Joong gil if he still wants to be a sailor, who refuses saying that he has something else to do in his life now.

Many years later its shown that Kang Joong gil, who is now a top graduate in animal studies from state university, visits Young sook who is working as a mere seamstress in a garment manufacturing factory. He confidently walks in that factory with a flower bouquet and gives her that bouquet and the compass, (the one she had earlier thrown away) He takes her in his arms and walks out.

In the end, as the credits roll a wedding picture of Young sook and Joong gil is shown, hanging on a wall in a home where an infant is crying. In program running on the television a reporter is covering a live interview of a female runner (she is the same "running girl") who has broken a new record. when reporter asks her about her reason behind the extremely vigorous running regime in her high school days, she says at that time she had too much energy and vigor since she was a hot young blood.

Hot Young Bloods-4

Recap-4:

Next day in the morning, Joong Gil  finds his dad wearing the same "ugly" brown trouser that he had dumped in the trash earlier. Gwang sik and his gang go to Joong Gil's school to beat him ( Since he believes that Joong Gil has laid his hands on his girl Young Sook). after hearing the same Joong Gil runs to Hongseong high school's (his own school) gang leader and incite him against Gwang sik. Both Hongseong school's gang and Gwang Sik's gang are all set to fight off with each other when suddenly the "smart" girl, whom Joong Gil had earlier dated and dumped, tell something to Hongseong's leader, which makes him call off the fight.(that's karma for you..)

Even monkey 1 & 2 leave a scared Joong Gil behind but they run to Young Sook and tell her the whole story. She rushes to the game center (lair of Gwang Sik's gang) to rescue Joong Gil who is being beaten. She saves him bye taking out an acid bottle from her pocket and threatening the gang then she asks Joong Gil to leave ahead of her. Once he leaves she handovers the bottle to Gwang Sik, daring him to throw the acid on her face as she leaves.

A bitterly bruised Joong gil, who was waiting for Young Sook in the vicinity of the game center, leaves together with her. He limps his way through his home but refuses any help from Young Sook. She stops him in the track and shows him the compass, he had given her years back that she still carries with her all the time, asks him if he remember this compass. He nods his head. She questions his reason for giving it to her. He replies because he had two of them. His words hit her hard. She apologizes for the mess caused due to her and assures him that it won't happen again. She bids him goodbye but he abruptly asks her crush, that why does she like him so much. she states she just does. He confesses that he too had feelings for her back in their childhood but when his dad and her mother got involved he gave up on those feelings. Hearing this, she quietly mumbles that such things never mattered to her. He asks her to repeat her words but she quickly says that it's good that he gave up and throws off the compass from the bridge (they were standing on) and leaves, completely heartbroken.

While Young Sook spends her time mindlessly working at her mother's restaurant Joong Gil recalls a memory from his past. He remembers how one day when he came back from school his grandmother told him about his father who had returned back from South Arab after 8 years. She also tells him that his mother had left him and his brother although she did not tell him any reason for her departure but after seeing his drunkard father coming home in the arms of Young Sook's mother's, he knew it was because of his father's indiscreet infidelity, his mother had left home. Later that day, when the child Young Sook came to play with him at his home, he pushed her (making her fall to the ground) and told to her to leave.

A few days later while Joong gil is waiting for So-hee in front of her home, with a gift in his hands,She is being kidnapped by Gwang -Sik's minions from a grocery store. Gwang -Sik tells her that since Joong Gil touched his girl he is going to extract his revenge by doing the same to his girl.

Meanwhile, Mr. Lee and Ms. Na come out of a movie theater after watching an adult movie which they had presumed to be about horses since it was titled 'Horse Lovers.' They both feel a little "hormonal" after watching the movie thus go to a secluded alley and have world's most weird kiss.

Plenty of lip locks between these two teachers...way to set an example for students!

They hear some muffling sound in the alley. Coincidentally, So-hee was being held in the same alley. (why were they keeping her in a dark street instead of taking her to their lair?) Up on hearing her muffled scream both the teachers venture inside the alley, which makes Gwang-sik and gang abscond from the scene. Teachers drop a scared So-hee to her place, where she meets Joong Gil. After seeing her condition he asks her about the situation, she just slaps him saying that if he truly likes her then he should go and kill Gwang-Sik.

He starts stalking Gwang Sik in order to sneak an attack but needless to say his little stint is busted by Gwang-Sik. He corners Joong Gil on a secluded road and after seeing a Swiss knife (the same one So-Hee gifted him) Gwang -Sik asks him if he is there to kill Gwang with the knife. He dares Joong gil to do so but Joong gil being Joong gil can't even hurt a little finger of him. He asks Joong gil to count til 50 and for every number Joong gil gets a slap from him. Utterly humiliated Joong gil returns home and starts practicing boxing under the supervision of monkey 1 & 2.

Next day at night, Young Sook is smoking quietly on the stairs in the village. she is looking at a bus ticket to Seoul when Gwang Sik joins her and tells her about Joong Gil's last night stunts. She asks him till when does he want to continue harassing Joong Gil and he should just stop as she has already given up on Joong gil. Gwang-sik retorts back that if that is so then he can go and kill Joong Gil. She stops him and asks what does he want. He asks her back if she is ready to throw off her title of "leader" for Joong Gil (since she is rejecting Gwang, she is breaking off her alliance with him) She tiredly says if that is what would make off Joong gil's tail then she is ready to do so. Dejectedly he asks if she ever had any feelings for him. She blatantly refuses. He leaves and tells one of Young Sook's minion (now ex minion), who was lurking behind in the dark, that title is hers. That minion and rest of the gang challenge Young sook in order to depose her.(why whole gang.....my questions are really piling up)

Hot young bloods 3

hey guys, Let me forewarn you about this post, I typed this recap at midnight with half closed eyes and exhausted brain so it may have lots of typos, mistakes and grammatical errors. I will be uploading new chapter of flash marriage tomorrow. Stay tuned!! now time to catch some Zzzzzz....

Recap 3:

So-hee gifts a Swiss knife to Joong gil for helping her the other day. He quickly invites her for Chinese food and movies but gets rejected for both. He asks her about how she used to pass her spare time back in city, she replies with things like roller skating but it's not possible to do the same in this village due to lack of proper place. He offers her to take her to one smooth plane ground where they can do skating. When she agrees, he takes her to an empty swimming pool. So-hee enjoys herself while novice Joong gil keeps struggling with it. He gets hurt after falling down with the Swiss knife in his back pocket. So she takes it (the knife) from her. Seeing a motor bike So-hee expresses her desire to ride one, he again offers her but she questions his driving skills but he shows off saying there is nothing in this world he can't do. (And nothing he does.)

                                                    Dating Joong Gil style!!!

While walking through the village, they accidentally see a tired Young-sook working hard for her family restaurant. So-hee comments how imperative it is to have a good family in order to have a nice upbringing but Joong gil tries to defend Young sook by calling her trustworthy. So-hee keeps probing by asking him if he knows that Young-sook likes him but he calls the thought scary. Young sook, who has also seen them together earlier, pitifully cries her heart out after feeling completely dejected in front of her indifferent mother. (aww…)
Joong gil takes So-hee to his "Chinese restaurant" and after lunch he tries to hold himself back from holding or touching her but while chatting, unintentionally, puts his hand on her thighs. This angers her and even though he keeps on apologizing, she tries to leave. When he tries to stop her, he angers her more.

1001 ways how to kill your first date by Joong Gil

A fuming So-hee lashes out on him about his character and his ugly brown trousers and storms out.(I advocate her opinion here. Those trousers on your dream date are a big no-no). A disgraced and disheartened Joong gil returns home and tears off the picture of his girls classmate, which he had kept with him as a reminder of his earlier conquests. Next day he dumps his "ugly" trouser in a trash bin before leaving for school.(good decision). After getting neglected by an angry So-hee in the school corridor he gets more depressed and does not even notice poor young sook who is also standing in the corridor and watching him.

Gwang Sik asks Young sook to deepen their relationship which she blatantly refuses. When he threatens to hit her, she calmly calls his bluff, saying she can hurt him more. In the classroom Young-sook notices a pack of cigarettes in a small purse dropped from So-hee's desk. She returns it to So-hee and asks if she is a lung patient then why does she smokes. So-hee tries to deny but Young sook doesn't listen to her.

Exasperated, So-hee asks Young sook to meet in private. So they go to washroom where So- hee asks young-sook to overlook what she saw earlier in the class since so-hee wants to have a peaceful school life. When young sook asks her what she means, she takes off her shirt and starts fighting with Young sook.(WTH…) The news of their cat fight spreads like fire and when it reaches Joong gil's ears, he along with monkey 1&2 rushes to the washroom.

After receiving a punch from So-hee, Young sook is about to retaliate when Joong gil and others blast in. Without knowing the whole situation he starts accusing Young-sook of terrorizing a poor, weak and fragile girl like So-hee.(ugh….)

Later, at principal's office both girls' parents are called to sort out the matter but they turn out to be more immature than their kids and start fighting with each other. Ultimately, it's Young sook who puts a stop on their fight. When So-hee's father calls her a barmaid's daughter, she gets deeply hurt and decides to drop out from school. She packs her stuff and leaves. Before leaving the school premises she turns around to have a last look at the school building and then throws her school bag on the playground. This is seen by Joong gil from his classroom's window.

On her way back she reminisces about her past. Whenever she used to forget to bring the stuff asked in the class Joong gil would lend her his, saying he had two. Once he had given her his geometry compass because of which he got punished in his class. Since then he had become a hero in her eyes and she still carries that compass with her.

The infamous compass that made Joong Gil her hero

Joong gil drops some pain relieving medicines at So-hee's place and meets monkey 1 & 2. They warn him to no to go to their hideout as they had seen Young-sook there. He still goes there and chats with Young sook. Though they are awkward at first but gradually they open up. After seeing her swollen face, he curses So-hee's father assuming it was him who hit her. Even though it was So- hee who had punched her, young sook does not correct him.

While drinking soju (alcohol) they discuss their future plans. Joong gil wants to be a sailor like his uncle but young-sook's plan is blank as paper. After that she forces him to leave and lies down to sleep on a worn-out couch. After consuming alcohol she decided to sleep at the hideout. He returns back to the hideout (it's basically a storage room that belongs to Joong gil's father) with some medicines. He takes care of a drunkenly sleeping Young sook which wakes her up.

They are about to kiss when a jealous So-hee deliberately interrupts them by throwing the Swiss knife at Joong gil from the door (she went there to meet him but how did she know he was there is a mystery to me) He hurriedly runs after her and tries to placate her anger but she still leaves. Once again Young sook is left behind alone. She is walking back to her home gloomily in the dark night when Gwang sik, who pops out of nowhere, interrogates her. where she is coming back from and what is she up to. When she refuses to explain, he accuses her of having a tryst with Joong gil and she retorts back with 'so what'.

Hot young bloods: 2

Recap part 2:

In the train the male leader of Hongseong high school challenges Gwang sik (who is the leader of rival school's gang) and they decide to have a face off at the station. of course gwang sik is the last man standing. From the crowd spectating the fight Young sook zeroes in Joong gil and confronts him about his reasons for not coming for their "date" He tells her that he did not feel right about the date since she is Gwang sik's girl  (due to the alliance b/w Young sook and Gwang sik everyone believes that they are a couple) She reassures him that it's just their alliance and nothing else.He retorts back that she can't force him to court her since he does not love her. Their conversation is interrupted by Gwang Sik , who leaves with Young sook.

Joong Gil sends a message written on dried leaf to So-hee through monkey 1 but at his usual dating spot "Chinese restaurant" its Young sook who meets him. she informs him that his date isn't coming when he asks why she counter questions  why does he likes So-hee. he replies because she is pretty (this guy is really shallow....but at least he is honest about it) she angrily leaves.

In the school play ground Joong gil  and monkey 1&2 are observing and discussing "the running girl" whom they had always seen running around in the garden. they try to think of various reasons for her vigorous running since she can't be practicing running as their school does not even has a track team. Joong gil confidentially says that the girl is in love with one of her cousin thus is practicing so that she can run away with him in the future. All of them conclude that she is an idiot. (these guys are hopeless) Joong gil notices So-hee sitting alone at the far end of the playground on a bench and approaches her. he softly asks if she was busy yesterday. when she tries to leave, he calls her back and tells her that she left something behind and makes a heart with  both his hand (ugh....) she leaves speechlessly.

At gil's home, his dad and a friend of his dad are talking when Joong gil comes back from school but he goes straight to his room without greeting either of them.( one can totally smell bad blood betweenn them)At school picnic Young sook and a few of her minions find and a lonely So-hee who is coughing vehemently and painting a really horrendous landscape painting on her canvas. Mr. Lee and homeroom teacher of girls class,Ms Na are urged by both guys's and girls's who have gathered around for recreation activity to sing a duet. Joong gil tricks So hee in performing in front of the class. she sings a nice beautiful English song. all the boys, mesmerized, look at her with heart eyes but girls get green with envy. seeing the dismay and annoyance in their leader's eyes Young Sook's minions suggest her name for the next performance. she sings and dances on a hilarious number with her friends/minions. A cheerful Joong Gil goes back home to find his father, grand mother and brother, who has recently cleared bar exam entrance and thus made his family proud, eating dinner. His presence is not acknowledged by anyone other than his brother who silently nods at him. he trots back to his room.
Next day Young sook is pushing a really heavy cart loaded with water barrels, solely to the function organised by Joong gil's family in the honor of his brother. Young sook's family is in charge of catering food and drinks. Joong gil who is smoking with monkey 1 &2 in one corner, when he finds young sook is taking off the water barrels from the cart he motions the two monkeys to help her. he gets into an argument with his father over the biased division of work between him and his brother. At school MONKEY 1 who was busy peeping under girl's skirts, is taken to an empty classroom by young sook's gang and is forced to give information about  Joong Gil's likes & dislikes.

When Joong gil finds latest track shoes on his desk he asks monkey 1,who replies that they may or may not be a gift from Young sook. he angrily goes to her class to demand an answer but quickly accepts the shoes when she offers to take them back. He gleefully tries them on in the train' storage compartment where they are snatched from him by Gwang sik.

over the period of time Joong gil uses all his tricks to charm So-hee but all his efforts are thwarted either by Young sook or by other circumstances. Their class goes off to a field trip to help some farmers in their work. There So hee is who is standing in the middle of paddy field, all of a sudden starts screaming and Joong gil the knight rushes to the rescue of damsel. he takes her in his arms and runs to a ground where he finds a leech stuck on her calf as the source of her discomfort. claiming it could be poisonous he sucks off the "poison" from her legs much to the chagrin of young sook and his other ex girlfriends ( this guy is really lecherous)

The lecherous knight sucking off "poisonous" leech off damsel's leg

He waits for So hee who is inside a local dispensary till late in night and offers her a ride back to her home on his bicycle. when she refuses, he keeps pedaling the cycle and after overtaking her gets down from it & waits for her with the cycle's headlight on. Making sure in this way she would not be scared of dark and would be able to walk in right direction as she is still not familiar with the routes. he repeats the same process many times till she reaches the bus stop safely. Even after she boards the bus he keeps following from behind on his cycle

At night Mr. Lee sneaks into Ms. Na's room with his shoes in his hands. She grumbles  to his deaf ears about having such discreet meetings. Finally she complains loudly about the lack of courage in Mr. Lee's character and also gives him example of Joong gil's bold approach. Mr. lee calls his "bold" approach his lasciviousness. she retorts back that one has to be bold and she appreciates such trait in her man. Mr. lee finally relents and offers to be more bold too. he steels his nerve and slowly moves in for a kiss but Ms. Na farts at the end moment (ugh.....smelly mood killer..hehehe) In order to let the air out when he tries to open the window subtly she asks him if the smell is that hard to bear.she tells him how love can make people accept everything about each other including their smell (ROFL)

poor guy is owned and schooled by his teacher..khekhe

After the whole fiasco Mr. lee gets thoroughly devoured (kissed) by a passionate Ms. Na.

HOT YOUNG BLOODS-K-Movie

Alternative names: Hangul: 피끓는 청춘; RR: Pikkeulneun Cheongchun; lit. "Blood Boiling Youth"

Synopsis & Review: It's a story about four high school students . The trials and tribulations of their school life. Set in rural South Korea of 1980's decade It basically revolves around these students's love, friendship and rivalries. lee Jong-Suk starring as Joong Gil is the so called school Casanova, but in my opinion he is the king of cheesiness. I understand that the movie is set in past time but still it's hard to imagine girls falling for his greasy-charms, By the end of the movie I had to admit  he was charming in his own goofy & cowardly cat ways. Park Bo-Young starring as Young Sook is a bad-ass gang leader. Due to her tough exterior and supreme fighting skills she had taken charge of multiple smaller gangs in no time .After forming an alliance with Gwang-Sik, played by kim young-kwang, the leader of rival school's gang young sook becomes the reigning queen. The weakest character in my eyes of the movie is So-Hee (Lee so-young), who is a transfer student and is like a fresh breath for the male students.

Young sook who is a softy at heart craves for the attention of her first love Joong gil, who on the other hand does not miss a single chance of shoving his philandering conquests into her face. Over all the movie is a decent watch. with nicely fleshed main leads and some really funny side characters it is bound to tickle your ribs at least a few times.

RECAP-1:

The movie begins with Joong girl taking a girl back on his bicycle most probably from their rendezvous and is seen by young sook and some of her gang members in a countryside field. Both of them are not happy to see each other while Joong gil is more frightened with the way his childhood friend aka Young sook is getting scarier with age, she is upset seeing him with another girl. After he leaves She fights off another gang and their leader together with her gang. I am little confused about how and why only students are traveling in the train coach but they are. Inside what seems like a train storage room Joong gil’s friend whom I have decided to call monkey 1 & 2  is getting slapped by a girl then Joong gil tries to teach him some really, stupid in my eyes but, cool in their's trick with his hand in order to get physically closer to girl.
After losing a game of rock/paper and scissor, monkey 1 has to take up the punishment of walking from end to end in the train coach with an eggplant placed inside his trouser (front area).

(oh my poor innocent eyes what crime thou have committed...hehe)

They get punished by their home room teacher Mr.lee at the school for their foolish stunt in the train which is seen by Young Sook . In the first class [both guys and girls have different classrooms] a lecture about sex education is being given and one can clearly see the difference between the guys's and girls's reaction throughout the lecture especially after seeing the diagram of opposite gender’s genital organs. After flaunting his moves, Joong Sil manages to score a date with the smartest girl of the class. On the date he uses some of the world’s worst pick up lines on the girl. one of them being she has the most white elbow that he has ever seen. [To my utter horror the girl actually fells for it ...I really doubt the smartness of this girl]

On his way out from the Chinese restaurant, where he usually takes all his dates, he encounters Young sook and Gwang shik (leader of rival gang),who are there with their minions. After young sook leaves, Gwang shik gives him a few slaps. later on when young sook asks Gwang shik why does he mistreat Joong gil he tells her how Joong gil had dumped his sister after dating her for few months. due to which his sister ran away from home. Young sook quips that his sister went away to Seoul (capital of  south korea) in order to look for a job.

Young sook goes back to her home which is a bar cum restaurant run by her family and gives them a hand in waitering the tables and cleaning up [she only has females in her family and may be that's the reason why she has a rough & tough personality] There a middle aged man keeps drinking even after when everybody else has left. Her mother has to ask. him to leave forcibly.Next morning at Joong gil's home, the same man who is actually Joong Gil's father, is seen accepting a tribute of fruits from his female neighbor,  he has helped her in irrigating her farms. He gives her some greasy looks before she leaves. (I guess the greasy-cheesiness runs in the family.)Inside his room, Joong gills getting ready for school while dancing idiotically in his shirt only sans trousers.

When he overhears a postman delivering a parcel, he rushes out while struggling with his half on pants. he claims the parcel saying its for him from his uncle in Brazil. At school Buzz is on about a new transfer student who apparently is the most beautiful girl of the village. When Young sook catches Joong sil checking out the new girl she summons him to "his" Chinese restaurant after school. There she asks him till when does he want to play around And since he has dated almost every girl in the school why has he still not made any moves on her. She orders him to meet her at his hideout for a date.A tearlessly Crying Joong gil gets consoled by Monkey no.1.

Later at night Young sook gets all dolled up for her date (at least she tries...though the end result is not that pretty) but instead of Joong gil it's Monkey 1 who comes to meet her at the hideout giving  a half-ass lame excuse on Joong gil's behalf. He tries to charm her using the same "cool" hand trick, taught by Joong gil earlier in the movie, and ends up getting beaten black & blue by young sook. As if that was not enough, he does the blunder of asking her why can't he be the one & thus she hit him hard enough to bleed from head.

With bandaged head and bruised face monkey 1 is sitting solemnly in the class. Joong gil asks him to gather information about the new girl but their conversation is interrupted by Mr. LEE, their homeroom teacher, who calls out joong gil's name. He scolds Joong gil for scoring a zero in exams in front of the whole class. Joong gil retaliates with a freshly cooked up story in his mind about how he has promised his late grandfather to never learn Japanese language since his grandfather was a soldier in the war against Japan and thus had grudges against Japan. Hearing this Mr. Lee gives him a good thrashing, asking him if his grandfather was anti-american as Joong gil scored zero in English.
........
Monkey 1 applies a healing ointment on the bruised thigh of Joong gil while monkey 2 provides him the data about the new girl. Turns out she used to live in Hongseong, their village only but had moved away to Seoul few years back. Now her entire family had relocated to Hongseong because of the fragile health condition of So hee (new girl). She has some sort of lung problems.
